Our Model
Overview
Minergy's organizational model was born out of a desire to fuse solid business practices with a passion for Jesus and a heart for reaching the world. Minergy's founders began by defining its purpose and values through hours of discussion and prayer. Sensing that God was leading them into new uncharted waters, Minergy's first year was one of learning on the fly while building a culture and foundation for the future.
In order to provide structure to the process, an incubation model was created around the research, development, implementation, and evaluation of each Minergy startup. The Minergy incubation model is a living, breathing plan that continues to evolve as we learn from our successes and mistakes.
Incubation Process
The Minergy incubation process is built around a multiphase development and reporting model that includes idea creation, concept development, proof of concept research, model development, ministry launch, and ministry/process evaluation. As each ministry works its way through the process, the Minergy team invests time in prayer and reflection with the hope of hearing God's voice in order to ascertain His will. The process is continually refined and customized to each individual model Minergy works with.
Synergy
In seeking to accomplish its purpose, Minergy works with each of its incubated and sister ministries to find programmatic, operational, and financial synergies that might increase the effectiveness of each organization's Kingdom building efforts. Minergy aims to identify unique and exciting ways in which ministries can work together to share ideas and resources while encouraging, challenging, and praying for one another. All this is done with the hope of increasing the stewardship of the resources and people God has entrusted us with.
Minergy Facilitated
YouthWorks and SportsLife Camps: YouthWorks has worked to support the launch of SportsLife Camps through marketing and recruiting support. As SportsLife Camps continues to grow, it will work to communicate YouthWorks offerings to SportsLife churches and communities.
SportsLife Camps and Youth Enterprise: SportsLife Camps works with Youth Enterprise through promoting their ministry and selling YE student produced merchandise to SLC churches. Youth Enterprise provides SportsLife Camps with camp t-shirts and works to connect Minergy with urban church partners.
YouthWorks and Real Resources: YouthWorks provides marketing, programmatic and recruiting support for Real Resources. Through its multiple offerings, Real Resources provides youth ministry resources to YouthWorks churches and communities while marketing YouthWorks mission trips.
Real Resources and Youth Enterprise: Real Resources promotes and sells Youth Enterprise merchandise through its various programs and events. Youth Enterprise prints Real Resources event t-shirts and connects Real Resources with urban church partners.
Other Synergies
YouthWorks and Youth Enterprise: YouthWorks works with Youth Enterprise through promoting their ministry and selling YE student produced merchandise to YouthWorks churches. Youth Enterprise provides YouthWorks with staff t-shirts and service opportunities for mission trip participants.
YouthWorks and Family MissionWorks: YouthWorks provides both community connections and church connections for Family MissionWorks. Family MissionWorks provides support to YouthWorks through prayer, community relationship building and recruiting.
YouthWorks and GreaterWorks: YouthWorks provides marketing, promoting and recruiting support to GreaterWorks. GreaterWorks interns live and serve in YouthWorks communities providing deeper community relationships throughout the school year.
